In a weeping world full of pain, loss, and injustice it is easy for us to think this is a God-forsaken world. The joy of Easter, however, is discovering just the opposite. In truth we live in a God-haunted world in which he is near, meeting us in the midst of our pain, and calling us by name.
This Easter message was delivered at Blanchard Alliance Church on April 5, 2015. It uses the story of Mary Magdalene’s encounter with the risen Jesus (John 20:11-18) as a window onto our experience of faith and doubt.
